The field of contemporary art, which is always growing and changing, is essential to understanding both social and personal life. This dynamic field at the crossroads of science and art, along with new media and technology, has led to fundamental shifts in the processes of artistic production and consumption. In keeping with the era's ethos, modern art stands out as a trailblazing emblem as well as a mnemonic; it fosters methodological and epistemological advancements and is vital in transforming traditional, digital, or mediatic creations within the framework of the arts.
Different disciplines have been brought together by art movements, contemporary art movements, and interdisciplinarity within art disciplines. These developments have also expanded the possibilities of creating art based on emerging technologies. Using the expertise and techniques of multiple disciplines, various art branches interact with one another as well as with fields like philosophy, sociology, psychology, and technology to study concepts, subjects, or issues.
The integration of technology with contemporary art, the social and political roles of art, new media art, digital art practices, and approaches at the nexus of cultural identity and art will be the key topics of discussion in this special issue. Furthermore, we intend to incorporate writings from the old arts or from theories and critique of modern art. We intend to investigate and talk about the new innovations in contemporary art in addition to its multidisciplinary aspects. The deadline for submissions is September 15, 2024, for the issue that will be published in December 2024. Submissions that are not formatted in compliance with our writing guidelines and example template will not be reviewed.
Examples of subjects include: Contemporary art and design, Contemporary art and new/digital cinema, The intersection of new media and contemporary art, Contemporary art and philosophy, Art (conventional, modern, and contemporary)
