Aile Kurumundaki Hegemonik İnşanın Parodik Yıkımı: Force Majeure

Literary genres are often the sources for cinematic narratives, serving as road maps for analysis. This study will focus on Force Majeure (2014) with the method of the narrative analysis, considering the literary genre of parody as the source for thematic exploration of the film. The parody genre can be traced back to Ancient Greece, where it translated to “ironic imitation”. In the 1960s, parody was conceptualized with the term intertextuality. This conceptualization looked at the text subject to parody and its relationship with other texts. These studies underlined the humorous and critical relationship parody established with its target source. The genre moved away from being an “ironic imitation”, allowing for cultural and ideological evaluation. In this context, the theoretical framework of this study will be shaped by parody’s narrative configuration, how it is employed in relation to the themes of the film and discursive tools shaping it. Force Majeure’s parodic stance and ironic discourses target the hegemonic construction of the family and gender roles; brought to life through a crisis narrative deriving from a mother and father. The film unsettles the hegemonic foundation of the patriarchy which has traced the limitations of the family and gender roles, through irony.

Sinemasal anlatılara kaynaklık eden edebi türler, aynı zamanda ilgili anlatının analiz aşamasında da bir yol haritası çizmektedir. Ruben Östlund’un yönetmenliğini yaptığı Force Majeure (Turist - 2014) isimli filmi anlatı analizi yöntemiyle çözümlerken; bu analize kaynaklık eden yazınsal tür olarak parodiyi incelemiştir. Kaynağı Antik Yunan’a dayanan ve önceleri basit anlamda “alaycı taklit” olarak yorumlanan parodi, 1960’lı yıllardan itibaren metinlerarasılık kavramı ile birlikte ele alınmış ve parodinin hedef metin ya da tema ile kurduğu ilişkinin, mizahi yönüne ek olarak eleştirel bir nitelik taşıdığı görüşü ortaya konulmuştur. Bu değerlendirme, parodiyi, “alaycı taklit” tanımından çıkarmış, kültürel ve ideolojik örüntüler üzerinden analiz edilmesine olanak sağlamıştır. Çalışmanın kuramsal çerçevesi, parodinin anlatısal kurulumuna, hedef metin-üst metin ilişkilerine ve parodik dönüşümün söylemsel araçlarına odaklanarak şekillenmiştir. Force Majeure filminin anlatısal kurulumunda, hedef metin ya da tema olarak seçilen aile kurumundaki hegemonik inşa ve toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri, anne ve baba üzerinden şekillenen bir kriz anlatısı odağında, parodik bir tutum ve ironik bir söylemle ele alınmıştır. Bu söylem doğrultusunda parodik dönüşümle şekillenen üst metin aracılığıyla, aile ve toplumsal cinsiyet rollerinin sınırlarını çizen patriarkal sistemin hegemonik iktidarına sarsıcı bir mizahla yaklaşıldığı ve bu iktidarın parodik bir yıkıma uğratıldığı saptanmıştır.
