Mustafa Softa (MS) is a Doctor at Dokuz Eylul University, Department of Geology. MS studied Luminescence Dating (OSL) methods in the Laboratory of Kansas State University during the doctoral training. His Ph.D. thesis focused on using the OSL Dating and Tectonic Geomorphology methods to better understand the interaction amongst the history of marine terrace formation, sea-level fluctuation, and differential tectonic movement in the subduction zone region, Eastern Pontides. After the robust training, MS carries out trench and surface-based paleoseismology studies on the active fault in Western Anatolia within national and international projects.
