Tipografik tasarımlarda yapay zekâ kullanımının seçenek yaratmaya etkileri

Abstract

Yapay zekâ teknolojisi, dijitalleşmeyle birlikte kullanım alanlarını sürekli genişletmektedir. Bilim ve sanat alanlarındaki dijital gelişmelere koşut olarak, tipografik tasarımlarda yapay zekâ kullanımı artmaktadır. Görsel iletişim tasarımcıları, hazır yazı biçemleriyle yetinmeyip, özgün yaklaşımlarla “fontları” dönüştürmektedir. Tipografide seçenekler yaratmak eskiden elle yapılırken, bugün yapay zekâ araçlarıyla da gerçekleştirilebilmektedir. Yapay zekanın avantajı, internetteki verilere erişerek kısa sürede çokça öneri geliştirebilmesidir; dezavantajı ise geliştirilen seçeneklerin özgünlüğü sorunsalıdır. Nitel araştırma yöntemleri ile tipografi ve yapay zekâ bağlamında gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada; yapay zekâ araçlarıyla yapılan tipografik seçenekleri çeşitli boyutlarıyla araştırmak, olumlu ve olumsuz yönlerini ortaya koymak için örnekler irdeleyerek sorunlarını belirlemek ve konu ile ilgili öneriler geliştirmek amaçlanmaktadır.Yapay zekâ araçlarının en önemli avantajı, kullanıcı tarafından yüklenen bilgi ve komutlara göre internet ortamında bulunan tüm bilgilere/verilere ulaşarak kısa zamanda çokça öneri geliştirebilmesidir. En önemli dezavantajı da geliştirilen seçeneklerin özgünlüğü sorunsalıdır. Nitel araştırma yöntemleri ile tipografi ve yapay zekâ bağlamında gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada; yapay zekâ araçlarıyla yapılan tipografik seçenekleri çeşitli boyutlarıyla araştırmak, olumlu ve olumsuz yönlerini ortaya koymak için örnekler irdeleyerek sorunlarını belirlemek ve konu ile ilgili öneriler geliştirmek amaçlanmaktadır.

The effects of using artificial intelligence in typographic designs on creating choice

Abstract

Artificial intelligence technology is constantly expanding its areas of application alongside digitalization. In line with digital developments in science and art, the use of artificial intelligence in typographic design is increasing. Visual communication designers are transforming “fonts” with original approaches, not settling for ready-made font styles. Creating options in typography used to be done by hand, but today it can also be achieved with artificial intelligence tools. The advantage of artificial intelligence is that it can develop many suggestions in a short time by accessing data on the internet; the disadvantage is the issue of the originality of the developed options. This study, conducted within the context of typography and artificial intelligence using qualitative research methods, aims to examine typographic options created with artificial intelligence tools in various dimensions, identify their problems by analyzing examples to reveal their positive and negative aspects, and develop recommendations related to the subject.The most important advantage of artificial intelligence tools is that they can develop many suggestions in a short time by accessing all the information/data available on the internet according to the information and commands uploaded by the user. The most important disadvantage is the problem of originality of the developed options. In this study, which was carried out in the context of typography and artificial intelligence with qualitative research methods; it is aimed to investigate typographic options made with artificial intelligence tools in various dimensions, to determine their problems by examining examples to reveal their positive and negative aspects and to develop suggestions on the subject.
