Enrico Robusti Resimlerinde Sınıfsal Gösterge Olarak “Yemek” İmgesinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

İnsanın tarih sahnesinde yerini almaya başlamasıyla birlikte “yemek ve yeme” eylemi ortaya çıkmıştır. Adem ve Havva’nın cennette her şeyi yiyip içmesiyle başlayan hikâye daha sonrasında yeme eylemi bir aşama öteye taşınarak yasaklı olanın yenilmesiyle Âdem ve Havva için yeni bir başlangıcın sonu olur. Yemek yeme pratiği zaman içerisinde biçimsel değişimler geçirir ve hayatı devam ettirmek için zorunlu bir eylem olmaktan çıkıp sosyal bir eyleme dönüşür. Yemek yeme eylemi bugün hem bir ihtiyaç hem bir statü göstergesi olarak ele alınabilir. Ressam “Enrico Robusti” tarafından yemek metaforunun çeşitli kompozisyonlarla ele alınan resimler sınıfsal gösterge olarak yemek yeme pratiğini grotesk anlatımlarıyla dikkat çekmektedir. Çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemi döküman analizi tekniğiyle gerçekleştirilmiş; sanatçının çalışmaları amaçsal örneklem yöntemi ile belirlenmiştir. Belirlenen resimler Bourdieu’nun "sosyal alan" teorisi bağlamında değerlendirilip “yemek yeme” metaforunun sanatsal bağlamda resimlere yansıma biçimi incelenerek incelenmiştir.

Abstract

The act of "eating" was born as soon as humans began to take their place on the stage of history. After the story that begins with Adam and Eve eating and drinking everything in heaven, the act of eating is moved one step further. The practice of eating undergoes formal changes over time and becomes a social action, rather than a necessary act to sustain life. The act of eating can today be treated as both a need and a status indicator. In the works, where various compositions of the food metaphor of the painter “Enrico Robusti”, which constitutes the main subject of the research, the grotesque accounts of the practice of eating as a class indicator are noted. This study was conducted using qualitative research methods and document analysis techniques; the artist's works were selected using purposive sampling. The selected paintings were evaluated within the context of Bourdieu's "social field" theory, and the way in which the "eating" metaphor is reflected in the paintings within an artistic context was examined.
