Öz
Art; It covers the use of search, seeking, change-transformation, production-consumption and application processes. The clay, which is in a very similar relationship in this very many structures of art; It offers both surface and three dimensions. In the process of shaping itself, clay is a material used in art production due to its plasticity. The solving process, which works by the artists who use these ceramic solution methods, shaped and dried from clay, with water, is also included in the work. The works of artists who present an ongoing or completed embroidery to the viewer; Video Art is directly related to postmodern art movements such as Installation, Performance and Conceptual Art. The clay material, which is at the center of this transitive relationship, has been discussed in terms of its process-oriented use in contemporary art practices, unlike its use in ceramic art. The subject of this study; David Cushway, Clare Twomey, Caroline Tattersall, Juree Kim and Karin Lehmann's works in this context. In the productions of the artists with this understanding; rather than recycling the clay, it is aimed to capture the emotion and perception of the audience and interact with the work in the phases of change and transformation that it goes through with the process.

Öz
Sanat; düşünme, arayış, değişim-dönüşüm, üretim- tüketim ve uygulama süreçlerinin tümünü kapsamaktadır. Sanatın bu çok katmanlı yapısıyla büyük ölçüde benzer bir ilişki içinde olan çamur malzeme; hem yüzey hem de üç boyut imkânı sunmaktadır. Şekillendirmesi başlı başına bir süreç gerektiren çamur, plastik özelliğinden ötürü çağdaş sanat üretimlerinde sıklıkla kullanılan bir malzemedir. Bu çalışmada seramik şekillendirme yöntemlerini kullanan sanatçıların, çamurdan şekillendirdikleri ve kuruttukları çalışmaların suyla teması ile yavaş yavaş işleyen çözünme süreci de esere dahil edilmektedir. İzleyiciye, devam eden ya da tamamlanan bir süreci sunan sanatçıların eserleri; Video Sanatı, Yerleştirme, Performans ve Kavramsal Sanat gibi postmodern sanat akımları ile doğrudan ilişkilidir. Bu geçişken ilişkinin merkezinde yer alan çamur malzeme, seramik sanatındaki kullanımından farklı olarak çağdaş sanat pratiklerinde süreç odaklı kullanımı açısından ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmanın konusunu; David Cushway, Clare Twomey, Caroline Tattersall, Juree Kim ve Karin Lehmann’ın bu bağlamda ürettikleri eserleri oluşturmaktadır. Sanatçıların bu anlayıştaki üretimlerinde; çamurun geri dönüşümünden ziyade süreçle birlikte geçirdiği değişim ve dönüşüm evrelerinde izleyicinin duygusunu ve algısını yakalayarak eserle etkileşime geçmesinin amaçlandığı görülmektedir.
