Deneysel Psikolojide Çevrimiçi Veri Toplama: Avantajları, Dezavantajları, Etik Konular ve Uygulamaları
Öz
İnternetin günlük yaşamımızın bir parçası olması dolayısıyla ve pandemi gibi yaşanan küresel olayların sonrasında temel veri kaynaklarından biri insan olan psikoloji bilimi araştırmalarında internet üzerinden veri toplamak daha çok tercih edilen yöntemlerden biri olmuştur. Bu veri toplama yönteminin çeşitli avantajları, dezavantajları bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın temel amaçlarından biri çevrimiçi veri toplama yönteminin avantajlarını, dezavantajlarını ve bu dezavantajlara alınabilecek önlemleri tartışmaktır. Bu çalışmanın diğer bir amacı etik kurallar açısından çevrimiçi araştırmaların uygunluğunu değerlendirmektir. Bu yöntem başta ekonomik avantaj olmak üzere pek çok avantajı barındırmaktadır. Öte yandan araştırmacıların doğru sonuçlara ulaşmasını engelleyecek tehlikelere karşı ve etik kurallara uymak adına çeşitli önlemler alması gerekmektedir. Ayrıca çoğu internet sitesinin Türkiye’ye doğrudan hizmet vermemesi sebebiyle Türkiye’deki araştırmacılar çeşitli zorluklar ve maliyet artışı yaşayabilmektedir.

Online Data Collection in Experimental Psychology: Advantages, Disadvantages, Ethical Issues and Applications
Öz
Since the internet is a part of our daily life and after global events such as pandemics, collecting data on the internet has become one of the more preferable methods in psychology research. One of the main purposes of this study is to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of online data collection and the precautions that can be taken to eliminate these disadvantages. Another aim of this study is to evaluate the appropriateness of online research in terms of ethical rules. This method has many advantages, especially economic advantages. On the other hand, researchers must take various precautions against dangers that may prevent them from reaching correct results to comply with ethical rules. In addition, because most websites have no direct service to Turkey, users should experience difficulties and cost increases.
