Abstract
Bu araştırma Türkiye’de okul yöneticilerinin özel ve günlük yaşamlarını betimlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Veriler, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilmiş bir anket aracılığıyla Türkiye
genelinde 21 farklı şehirden 324 okul yöneticisinden toplanmıştır. Anket; ilk kısımda 5, ikinci kısım ise 32 olmak üzere toplam 37 sorudan oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci kısmı, katılımcıların
coğrafi ve kurumsal dağılımlarını betimlerken ikinci kısım kişisel ve mesleki profil, aile ve özel hayat, günlük aktiviteler, sağlık, ekonomi ve beslenme durumlarını betimlemektedir. Ulaşılan
bulgulara göre; okul yöneticilerinin, diğer çalışanlara göre ve meslekleri gereği iş yerinde daha fazla vakit geçirdikleri, bu nedenle de özel yaşamlarından fedakarlıkta bulundukları; gelirlerinin
genel kabul görmüş standartların altında olduğu; işlerinden kaynaklı sorunlar nedeniyle düzenli beslenemedikleri bulunmuştur. Sigara kullanım oranının genel ortalamanın üzerinde olduğu ancak
kronik rahatsızlık ve düzenli ilaç kullanma oranlarının ise genel ortalamaların altında olduğu bulunmuştur.
Abstract
This research aims to describe the private and daily lives of school administrators in
Turkey. Data were collected from 324 school administrators from 21 different cities across
Turkey through a questionnaire developed by the researchers. The questionnaire consists of 37
questions, 5 in the first part and 32 in the second part. While the first part of the study describes
the geographical and institutional distribution of the participants, the second part describes the
personal and occupational profile, family and private life, daily activities, health, economy and
nutritional status. According to the findings; It has been found that school administrators spend
more time at work than other employees and due to their profession, therefore they sacrifice from
their private lives; Their income is below the generally accepted standards, and they cannot eat
regularly due to work-related problems. It was found that the rate of smoking was above the
general average, but the general rates of chronic illness and regular drug use were below the general
average.
